If you're having trouble with the stimulus check process, you may be wondering who you can contact to sort out the details.
The IRS has been issuing the stimulus checks, but when it comes to contacting them -- it can be a frustrating process.
Do Not Call
One of the first things you'll see on the IRS's Economic Impact Payment homepage is "do not call."
Due to reduced staff, the IRS does not have live customer assistance over the phone right now.
According to the IRS website, you can email IRS.gov with any questions you have, however, you could be waiting up to two days for a response.
At this time, your best bet for answers is the IRS website.
There you will find answers to frequently asked questions.
The IRS has also created the "Get My Payment App," but many people are getting messages like "Payment Status Not available," so it will take some patience.
