Warm and unsettled weather continues

Tonight: Isolated showers possible this evening across central/southern Colorado but any precipitation that does develop will be short-lived and relatively weak. Most locations dealing with mild temperatures overnight, to 38 degrees in Colorado Springs, and low 40s along HWY 50.

Tomorrow: If there's a day to keep an extra eye out for severe weather it's Tuesday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms begin across the far southern portion of Colorado and gradually propagate into central Colorado and Colorado Springs by mid-afternoon. Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible in Baca, Prowers, Bent, and Otero Counties. The biggest concerns associated with the storms tomorrow in the southeast are strong wind gusts, frequent lightning, and hail so keep an eye out.

Extended: The afternoon showers take a slight break for Wednesday as most of us will stay dry. Precipitation chances will increase again for Thursday and Friday afternoon. Long-range computer models are finally indicating a break in the persistent rain showers with clearing conditions expected this weekend.
