Unsettled weather pattern in southern Colorado
Currently scattered showers are moving through central/eastern Colorado, producing strong outflow wind gusts up to 40mph. The overall severity of the storms tonight along the I-25 corridor is low, with the best chance for an isolated thunderstorm is along the Kansas border in far eastern Colorado.
Gradually the strong winds and scattered showers will dissipate overnight with low temperatures seasonal, in the mid 30s in Colorado Springs.
If you're trying to go out for a bike ride or a little exercise tomorrow, I'd get it done in the morning. Temperatures warming quickly into the high 50s in Colorado Springs with temperatures approaching the low 70s along HWY 50. Increasing cloud coverage through the day and scattered showers with isolated embedded thunderstorms starting up after 1pm. Similar tonight, the severity of the showers and thunderstorms should remain low.
As we head into next week, this unsettled weather pattern continues with rain chances nearly every day. The Storm Prediction Center has kept Colorado under a general threat for severe weather through Tuesday, meaning thunderstorms will be possible, but not severe. Stay tuned for updates as this could change with an unforeseen increase in convective energy.
