Shooting investigation in downtown Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - The Colorado Springs Police Department is investigating a shooting in the downtown area.

Officers were called to the area of Cheyenne Ave. and Wahsatch Ave., just after 10 p.m. Sunday. A man had called to report he had been shot. When officers arrived to the area they found the man with a gunshot wound to his upper torso. Evidence suggested the shooting happened in the area.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. At this time no suspect information has been released.
