Manitou Springs police investigate armed robbery at the Days Inn

MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Manitou Springs police are investigating a robbery that happened in the early morning hours Friday at the Days Inn.

Around 1:08 a.m. police responded to the reported robbery at 120 Manitou Ave. Luckily, no one was injured during the incident.

Officers learned that a male suspect robbed the business at gunpoint, with a weapon described as a black semi-automatic handgun.

Police described the suspect as "possibly Hispanic," standing between 5 foot 7 and 5 foot 9, weighing about 140 pounds. He had a shaved head with stubble and was wearing a dark blue hoodie with a Colorado emblem and khaki pants.

Police say the suspect left in a silver-colored sedan with an unknown license plate.
