Woman in Colorado Springs offers engagement ring on social media for Valentine’s Day proposal

Social Media Cupid ring Cropped

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A woman in Colorado Springs is playing cupid with the hopes of helping someone in the community who can't afford to have the engagement ring of their dreams.

An engagement ring symbolizes a couple's love and commitment. Top it off with proposing on Valentine's Day and it's even more romantic.

But with the national average cost of an engagement ring at $5,900, according to The Knot, not everyone can afford that special ring. Jessica Tzitzicas is hoping to ease that burden.

She took to social media, posting about the ring on Facebook.

After careful consideration, Tzitzicas says she's found the person she will be giving the ring to, playing a small role in the beginning of someone else's love story.
