DEA, CBI recover 51 cannabis plants during raid in Pueblo West
PUEBLO WEST, Colo. (KRDO) -- An illegal cannabis grow operation in Pueblo West was raided Tuesday morning by agents with the DEA and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
Agents, with help from Colorado State Patrol and the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office, confiscated around 51 plants of illegal cannabis from inside a home on the 1300 block of Bear Lane, according to law enforcement at the scene.
The crews entering the residential home also removed a several pieces of equipment used to operate the cannabis grow.
Just moments after the raid, CBI crews took the plants to a safe location to be burned.
Crews on scene say the bust on Bear Lane was one of several that took place across the state of Colorado on Tuesday, including one in Otero County.
