1 dead following Pueblo house fire
PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) - The Pueblo Fire Department responded to a house fire near the intersection of East 16th Street and Portland Avenue just before 5:30 a.m. Thursday.
When fire crews arrived at the scene on Pueblo's east side, the front of the home was fully involved.
According to officials, one person died in the fire. Thursday, the Pueblo County Coroner identified the victim as 67-year-old Lance White.
Investigators were told by neighbors that White ran outside of the home while the fire was raging. Then White ran back into the home. It is unclear why 67-year old decided to run back inside.
Pueblo police say the cause of the fire was accidental because of electrical issues. No foul play is suspected.
The fire is still under investigation.
