Shooting investigation south of Colorado Springs; No suspect in custody
EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. -- I-25 is back open after a shooting victim was found in a car on Mile Marker 122 Friday night.
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that the victim was a man and was shot once. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. In a follow-up call with the Sheriff's Office, we learned that the victim is in serious but stable condition Saturday.
The sheriff's office believes the actual shooting happened at another location. No suspect is in custody at this time.
Witnesses are being interviewed as the investigation continues to figure out what happened.

There is a heavy police presence on I-25 between Exit 122 and Exit 123, near the Pikes Peak International Raceway.
The right lane on I-25 northbound is closed. Drivers are asked to use caution and slower speeds.
Details are scarce at the moment so it's not clear where the shooting originally took place, but the El Paso County Sheriff's Office and Colorado State Patrol are at the scene.
