Car fire closes I-25 northbound at Cimarron St.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- A car fire and two vehicle crash closed all northbound lanes on I-25 between Exit 140 and Exit 141 around 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
A total of six patients were transported to local hospitals for multiple injuries and burns, according to the Colorado Springs Fire Department.
CSFD crews worked to extinguish the blaze around 10 a.m. The fire department says that one car sustained major damage from the crash, and the second car was on fire.
All northbound lanes were blocked due to the crash but reopened around 11:14 a.m. according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
