Auto-ped shuts down colorado springs street

Update:

Platte Avenue has reopened in both directions. We've also learned from police that a teenage girl was crossing the street when she was hit by a pickup truck. The girl was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver remained on scene. Still no word whether that driver will face any charges.

An injury crash in downtown Colorado Springs has shut down a portion of Platte Avenue. This happened just before 6:30 this evening. Currently, Platte is closed between Wahsatch and Weber in both directions.
