1 injured in Colorado Springs shooting

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - One person is hospitalized following a shooting on the west side of Colorado Springs.

Officers responded to the area of 13th St. and Colorado Ave. around 7:15 p.m. Thursday. Witnesses report seeing a significant amount of blood at the scene.

One person sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital. At this time their injuries are considered non-life threatening.

Detectives say they have identified the person they believe is responsible, and are still searching for that person at this time.
