Air Force Staff Sgt. facing attempted murder charges
A court-martial has been scheduled for an Air Force Academy Staff Sergeant who is facing several charges, including attempted murder.
Staff Sgt. Mariano L. Jackson is also facing charges for failing to register a firearm, communicating a threat, and multiple assault violations.
According to a charge sheet released by the Air Force Academy, Jackson is accused of strangling a woman sometime around April 24 this year. He's also accused of telling the victim to "back the f*** up" while pointing a firearm at her.
Jackson is expected to appear in court this upcoming Monday, December 16th. He is currently being held in the Teller County Jail.
