2 adults arrested after interrupting Festival of Lights parade by lying in middle of street

Victoria Wickam

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Colorado Springs police arrested two women after they decided to lie in the middle of Tejon Street during the Festival of Lights parade Saturday evening.

Around 6:25 p.m., the two suspects lay down in the street, causing the procession to stop for about five minutes, according to police.

Officers asked the suspects to move, but they refused to move and were arrested.

The two women -- identified as Tyescha Clark and Flannery Burdick -- were carried out of the parade route by officers.

They were later served and released at a local police station for unlawful acts, obstructing passage or assembly, and resistance/interference with a public official.
