The holiday season is officially upon us and that means Christmas lights. Drive-thru light shows are abundant, but they can be pricey. If you're looking to save on holiday spending, try taking a self-guided tour around Colorado Springs and El Paso County.

Click here to see the map assembled by Timberline Landscaping. It points out homes and businesses with decadent holiday light displays.

The yellow stars indicate computerized light shows, red stars are Christmas lights displays, and green stars are lights installed by Timberline Landscaping.

And if you need a hot cocoa break on your road trip -- or a bathroom break because you've already had a lot of hot cocoa -- try stopping at one of the coffee shops indicated on the map by a yellow mug.

For more about the map and information on how to submit your home or business to the Christmas lights guide, see here.
