The lines started as early as 6 a.m. Thanksgiving morning at the Best Buy on Powers and South Carefree Circle in Colorado Springs.

By 4 p.m., one hour before the store's opening, hundreds of people were standing in line in the sub-zero temperatures.

One young man said, "I'm freezing. My toes are going to fall off but it's worth it."

When the doors finally opened, the shoppers piled in making their way to the TV, computer and game departments. Many of them picking up what they needed and going straight to the cash register.

"If you have the option to come out at 5 o'clock on Thursday then you have prime selection on anything you want," said one shopper.

For those involved in the Black Friday frenzy, they ended up waiting longer in the line inside, than out.

"It wraps all the way around the store," said one shopper.

For many, making the trip on a holiday was worth the hundreds of dollars they saved.
