Tracking More Heat and Rain Chances

Good evening, Southern Colorado!

It was a rather cloudy day across our region, and we've even saw a few showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures today climbed into the 80s, and even hotter temperatures are on the way as we head into the week.

For the rest of your evening, we'll continue to see partly to mostly cloudy skies with a few showers and perhaps thunderstorms across the viewing area.

Low temperatures tonight will fall to right around 60° along with mainly cloudy skies. A great night to give your air conditioner a break.

The cloud cover looks to stick around for the start of the new workweek, and we'll see another chance of a few showers and thunderstorms. If you're looking for rain, Monday looks to be the best shot of the week. High temperatures on Monday will climb into the mid-80s, with hotter temperatures off towards the south.

The rest of the workweek looks to be dry, with high temperatures flirting with the 90° mark starting on Wednesday here in Colorado Springs, with mid-90s likely towards the Pueblo area.

If you're planning on heading down to the Colorado State Fair, this week looks fantastic, with the exception of Monday's rain chances and the hot temperatures throughout the week. Pack the sunscreen and drink plenty of water if you're outdoors this week.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and stay safe!
