Semi crashes into restaurant in Otero County
FOWLER, Colo. -- A semi turned a restaurant into a drive-thru early Friday morning.
It happened just after 1 A.M. in Fowler, about 35 miles east of Pueblo. Witnesses say the truck made a smashing entrance right through the front of Tamarack Grill, leaving behind a huge gaping hole.
Fortunately, no one was inside, but it will take some time to rebuild.
We have unconfirmed reports that the driver of the semi may have fallen asleep at the wheel. We're still working to find out the exact cause of the crash.
