Vail Mountain is officially open!

VAIL, Colo. -- The Vail Mountain Ski Resort started the new season atop Gondola One with the Swingsville and Ramshorn runs, a beginner skiing area over at Golden Peak, as well as runs surrounding Chair 4.

The ski resort's new snowmaking system has proven itself with an incredible snow surface for skiers and riders out on the slopes.

New for this season, Vail opened skiing and riding out of Vail Village, with upload and download access to the Mid-Vail area via Gondola One.
