Colorado Springs police investigate road rage, weapon menacing incident

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Police are searching for a suspect in a road rage and weapon menacing incident that took place Saturday on Woodmen Road.

The victim told police that they were leaving the Walmart at 5550 E. Woodmen Road and driving eastbound when the suspect vehicle pulled up alongside them.

According to the police report, a passenger in the suspect vehicle began to yell at the victim, and then leaned out the passenger window and pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at the victim.

The victim was able to turn off while the suspect vehicle continued eastbound on Woodmen past N. Powers Boulevard.

The victim described the suspect vehicle to police as a "newer" four-door pickup truck, painted "Penn State Blue" with tinted windows. The truck also possibly had a hand grenade sticker on the rear window.

The victim described the suspect as a white or Hispanic male, about 40 to 50 years old, bald and with a goatee. He also possibly may have an unknown tattoo on his neck and forearm.
