Katie Donovan

Katie joined the KRDO StormTracker 13 team in November 2017 and is very excited to be living in forecasting in her favorite State, Colorado! She has always loved the beauty of the Rocky Mountains and the challenges they bring to predicting the weather. 

Katie was born in Cincinnati, Ohio where she began her career as a News Content Specialist and Weather Assistant at FOX19. From there, she moved to Zanesville, Ohio to work at WHIZ-TV as a weather forecaster and general assignment reporter. Most recently, Katie worked at KWQC-TV6 in Davenport, Iowa as a meteorologist and weather reporter where she had lots of experience forecasting severe weather and Midwest snow events. Katie has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and New Media Studies from the College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio. She also holds a certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University. 

In her free time, Katie enjoys fishing, horseback riding and landscape painting (especially mountains)! She has a dog named Zane and enjoys going on weekly hikes with him all around the Pikes Peak Region. If you have a weather or outdoor adventure story idea, please send it her way!
