Tracking widespread showers and storms, along with the flash flood threat for the burn areas

Tonight we will see mostly cloudy skies with a good chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms for most of us here in Southern Colorado. The storms will fire up in the High Country and race eastward across the I-25 Corridor. There is the possibility of heavy rain with some slow moving storms. We also do have the potential for Flash Flooding down over the Aspen Burn Scar area. That area is under a Flash Flood Watch through midnight tonight. Heavy ran could cause mud and debris flows so be sure to stay away from that area. Overnight lows will fall into the lower 60s.

Friday will bring us another good chance for afternoon and evening thunderstorms. It will be on the breezy side, with highs climbing into the mid 90s for the I-25 Corridor, and near triple digits readings for the Eastern Plains.

Saturday and Sunday will bring us just a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. It will will be a hot one, with high in the mid to upper 90s for the Pikes Peak Region, and lower 100's for the Eastern Plains.

Our chance for showers and storms continues on Monday and Tuesday with high in the lower 90s.
