Longtime El Paso County mountain rescue dog dies due to cancer

The El Paso County Search and Rescue Team lost one of the good boys Monday. Dozer, a mountain rescue K-9 with the county, passed away due to cancer.

Dozer had been with the search and rescue team for 10 years, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

“Lots of missions, hours of training, and good ole slobbery kisses,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a tweet Monday morning, “we will miss you, dear friend.”
