Baby wallaby Gidgee takes a walk outside mom’s pouch
Gidgee the wallaby has quickly been winning over admirers at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo as she spends more time interacting with guests.
Gidgee is a six-month-old red-necked wallaby.
“She recently started spending more time outside of her mom, Matilda’s pouch,” said Rachel Wright, the zoo’s public relations manager, in an email.
Zoo officials say she loves getting almond from her keepers, diving into her mom’s pouch and hopping at lightning speed around the yard.
