Southern Colorado company helps trafficked women get back on their feet

Right here in Southern Colorado a company called “HeadPeace” is helping women who have escaped slavery and trafficking conditions to get back on their feet, by selling headbands.

These headbands allow women to work in a manufacturing warehouse in Nepal after they have been liberated and provide them with more than the living wage, life skills training, job training, and scholarships for adult education.

“It’s been really fun to watch my business grow and, therefore, watch my manufacturer Purnaa grow and help even more women in Nepal,” said founder Lindsay Theken.

You can find “HeadPeace” headbands at Natural Grocers, Corepower Yoga Studios, and online.
