Snow has come to the high country

It feels like the ski season has just ended, but already, traces of snow have been spotted across the high country.

From Aspen to Arapahoe Basin and even Breckenridge, we’ve been given a glimpse of the pre-season snowfall in motion.

Loryn Roberson with Keystone Resorts tells us Keystone is set to be the first of Vail Resorts to be open.

“We have been working on our snow making and upgrading on 40 acres of terrain, so we brought in 50 new snow making guns, and we’ve updated it to a state of the art, automated snow making system,” says Roberson. “That’s really going to put us in the running to be one of the first resorts open in Colorado and even the country.”

Keystone doesn’t have a specific opening date yet, but they’re projecting some time in October before Halloween, conditions permitting.
