8/26/19 Forecast Discussion

Tonight: Staying dry and mostly clear during the evening hours with winds calming down to 10-15mph with a low temperature of 53 degrees in Colorado Springs.

Tuesday: Early morning cloud coverage with the chance for a brief, stray rain shower before 9am. Gradually turning mostly sunny by early afternoon, but the morning cloud coverage will help cap high temperatures in El Paso County at about 81 degrees. Can’t rule out the chance for an isolated afternoon rain shower with the overall severity and coverage of storms will be low.

Extended: By mid-week Central/Eastern Colorado will enter into a warming trend as Thursday the I-25 corridor will again approach near-record high temperatures. Friday is the day with the most potential for severe afternoon thunderstorms.
