‘Cardboard Cory’ tour comes to Colorado Springs
Activists are touring around Colorado with a cardboard cutout of Senator Cory Gardner to gather questions from constituents in an effort to convince the flesh-and-blood Gardner to host a public town hall meeting.
They made their final stop in Colorado Springs Saturday on their ‘#SinceUBeenGone Bust Tour’.
Organizer Olga Robak explains that the purpose of the tour is to convince Senator Gardner to host a public town hall meeting — something he hasn’t done in nearly two years. Robak says that Cardboard Cory is gathering questions from Colorado constituents for his living counterpart, should Gardner decide to host a town hall meeting.
The rally in Colorado Springs took place at the America the Beautiful Park.
KRDO has reached out to Cory Gardner’s office for comment.
