Woman looks for good samaritan who rescued granddaughters in I-25 rollover crash

A mother is looking for a good samaritan who rescued her two granddaughters after their parents died in an I-25 rollover crash Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as the driver, 33-year-old Leon Sage, and the front-seat passenger, 31-year-old Jessica Sage, both from Ignacio, Colorado. They were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Loretta Hernandez, the mother of Jessica Sage, said she wanted to find the truck driver who rescued her two granddaughters.

“We want to try to find the truck driver to thank him for saving my grandchildren,” she said. “For closure and for peace for the family.”

Funeral services for Jessica Sage will be held on Thursday 22 at 3 p.m. at the Angelo Romero Family Funeral Home in Pueblo, Colorado.

If you have any information on the truck driver, you can contact the Hernandez family at cotero0124@gmail.com or Jeanette Leiba at (719)679-7447.
