Bear breaks through a wall ‘like the “Kool-Aid Man”‘

A bear tore its way through a wall in an Estes Park home ‘like the “Kool-Aid Man”‘ to escape, police reported Saturday.

The bear entered the home Friday night through some unknown — but non-destructive — route, drawn in by the scent of refuse, according to the Estes Park Police Department.

But when officers arrived at the scene, the bear forcibly clawed its way out through a wall to escape.

The department included a reminder from Colorado Parks and Wildlife to routinely check that all doors and windows are locked to prevent visits from bears.
