Fountain homicide investigation underway, 1 woman dead

Police arrested Fountain resident Donnell Desmond Bradley, 31, for first-degree murder at approximately 10:55 a.m. August 8.

Fountain Police and Fire responded to a medical call on Patchwork Ct. for a report of an unconscious female who was not breathing.

Upon arrival, officers located a deceased adult female inside the home “with significant injuries to her body,” the police report reads.

The Coroner’s Office determined the case a homicide August 9. Law enforcement identified the suspect as Bradley, who was arrested later that evening and booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.

The name of the victim will be released when the Coroner makes a positive identification and next of kin is notified.
