Few strong storms expected again today – 8/9/19

TODAY: Humid weather is in the forecast for the first half of your Friday. Storms move in south of Highway 50 between 12 and 3pm today. They lift north and east through the daytime and will be in the Colorado Springs area between 3 and 6pm this evening. Hail and wind will be the primary threats with the chance for localized flash flooding over the southern mountains. Highs today will be seasonable in the 80s and low 90s.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy to mostly clear with lows cooling to the 50s and 60s. Showers and storms will likely clear out toward the mountains by 9pm at the latest. The eastern plains will see storms through midnight.

EXTENDED: Stormy weather looks likely for most areas through Monday before our weather calms down and dries out a bit more. Highs remain seasonable through next week.
