Man wanted out of El Paso County for attempted second-degree murder
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a 28-year-old man who is wanted on several outstanding warrants and is considered armed and dangerous.
Deputies were alerted to Zackary Burns when they attempted to stop a gray Nissan truck near the intersection of Main St. and Hancock Expressway Thursday night.
Burns failed to yield and drove away quickly. Deputies did not pursue the vehicle, but they did find it abandoned and unoccupied a short time later on Cresta Loma Circle.
The area around Cresta Loma Circle was contained and residents in the area were asked to stay inside. Authorities were unable to locate Burns and are continuing to search for him.
Burns is wanted on several outstanding warrants for robbery and attempted second-degree murder.
He is described as a white male, 6’01, 170 lbs, brown hair and blue eyes. Burns is possibly with an unknown woman. She is described as being a white female, 5’06, 122 lbs, blonde hair and blue eyes.
