Media invited to watch USAFA cadets go through basic training
Thursday, media was invited to watch as Air Force Academy cadets began their fifth day of basic training at Jack’s Valley.
It was only a few weeks ago that these cadets said good-bye to their parents to begin life at the academy.
At 7:30, media was bused to Jack’s Valley, where cadets have been training already since Sunday.
Cadets took on the assault corse, worked through confidence and obstacle courses, fired weapons at the firing range and learned basic steps to protect themselves from the uncontrollable release of chemical or biological agents.
Each area of training provided basic cadets’ survivor skills that could be crucial during their military careers.
