Veteran climbs pole to fix US flag at Navy SEAL monument

Dom Raso noticed that a U.S. Flag was hanging loose off a pole at the Navy SEAL Monument in Virginia Beach, and he was able to climb up and fix it with the help of a friend.

Raso posted a video to Facebook Thursday showing the flag only connected at the very top. He said he had just ran three-and-a-half miles, but he wanted to fix the flag because it “wasn’t something [he] was just going to pass by.”

So he got on the shoulders of his friend, climbed up the pole and reattached the bottom section to make it stable.

“This flag pole climb reminded me about EVERYTHING in life,” Raso said on Facebook. “There has been way to grave of sacrifice for me not to try. Once I do try I have to give it my ALL for them.”
