12th Street severely damaged by water line break in Pueblo

A major water line break decimated a section of 12th Street near Greenwood Street in Pueblo.

Several sections of the asphalt were in pieces as water continued to bubble up. City crews started working on repairs shortly after about noon.

At 2:45 p.m., a Pueblo Water spokesperson said service was restored to the 600 block of 12th Street, and service was expected to be restored to the 500 block by about 6 to 7 p.m.

Pueblo Water said there was a 12-inch break, but the pressure wasn’t lost. The city doesn’t expect to issue a boil water advisory. It’s not clear how the break happened yet.
