U.S. Postal Service will unveil Apollo 11 Moon Landing stamp in Colorado Springs

Just when you thought you’d never send another letter, the U.S. Postal Service announced Wednesday they will launch an Apollo 11 First Moon Landing Stamp at the Discovery Center in Colorado Springs.

And yeah, it looks cool.

The unveiling ceremony will take place at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 20 at the Space Foundation Headquarters and Discovery Center. The event will be hosted by U.S. Astronaut Duane “Digger” Carey and Postmaster JoLea Quintana.

This First-Class forever stamp commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing and will provide a special pictorial postmark. The stamps will be available nationwide for a sheet of 24 for $13.20 until supplies run out. The Postal Service will have stamps, commemorative envelopes, and stamp art for sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the event.

The Discovery Center will be charging a $10 admission fee or preregister here for a discount.
