31-year-old man from Fountain dies in motorcycle crash

Police have identified the motorcyclist who was involved in a fatal crash that happened on Rangewood Drive Friday.

Jajuan Richardson, 31, from Fountain died at the scene of the crash.

The investigation into the incident revealed that a large group of motorcycles was traveling southbound on Rangewood Dr. approaching Briargate Blvd., when Richardson failed to negotiate a curve in the road and struck the right-hand curb.

Richardson was wearing a helmet and was ejected from the motorcycle.

At this time, there is no indication that speed or a speed contest were factors in the crash.

This is the 23rd traffic fatality in Colorado Springs this year, and the fifth fatal crash that involves a motorcycle. There were 25 traffic fatalities at this time last year.
