Convenience store customer, clerk held at gunpoint

A convenience store clerk and a customer were held at gunpoint early Monday morning.

Officers were called to a convenience store in the 5200 block of Astrozon Blvd. following reports of an armed robbery.

Further investigation revealed that two men each carrying a handgun entered the store and demanded money. One suspect pointed his firearm at a customer while the other suspect pointed his gun at the clerk.

The suspect who pointed the gun at the clerk demanded cash and the clerk gave him an unknown amount of money.

The suspects then left the store on foot, traveling in an unknown direction. The suspects have not been identified at this time.
