2 Colorado Springs men arrested for waving gun at cars on Wahsatch

Two men were arrested Monday morning for waving a gun at random people including an El Paso County deputy.

Jason Rios, 18, and Jacob Collins, 20, were arrested Monday for flashing a gun at passing cars at the intersection of Colorado and Wahsatch Avenue.

At approximately 8 a.m. an El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputy passing through the intersection was waved down by a witness to the incident. The deputy made initial contact with the suspects and CSPD soon arrived on the scene. Officers took Rios and Collins into custody without further incident.

CSPD investigators learned that the two suspects pointed their gun at the responding deputy as well as at numerous victims driving through the intersection.
