High heat and severe storms

Today: We're tracking the 7th out of 10 days in the 90s for the month of August. Colorado Springs will likely hit 95 degrees today and Pueblo 101. La Junta and Lamar will be even warmer getting up to 105-106. There is another heat advisory (4th one in a row) for El Paso, Pueblo Counties, and the southeastern areas.

Relief is on the way for the evening, cloud cover kicks up around 12-1 pm. Small showers start by 1:30 pm. Spotty showers and thunderstorms continue moving east over I-25 from 1:30-7 pm.

Tomorrow: Another hot day that starts clear with clouds rolling in through the evening. There will be thunderstorms through Tuesday evening over the western high country areas. More severe weather is expected to fire up for the rest of the work week especially Thursday and Friday.
