One dead in motorcycle crash in Colorado Springs

One man is dead following a crash in Colorado Springs.

Investigators say two motorcycle riders were traveling northbound on Voyager Pkwy., just before 11 p.m. Friday. That’s when the driver of a pickup truck turned on to Ridgeline Dr., colliding with both of them.

One of the cyclists was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was not hurt.

The Colorado Springs Police Department’s Major Crash Team has taken over the investigation. Officers arrested the pickup truck driver for DUI.

This is the 19th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs this year. Springs Police is asking anyone who witnessed this crash to call the department at (719) 444-7000, or Crime Stoppers at (719) 634-STOP.
