Woodland Park woman’s roof fixed after investigation into complaints

A Woodland Park woman’s plea for help to fix her home was made possible Tuesday following a KRDO investigation into a local contractor.

“I paid almost $5,000 as a down payment,” said the woman, who wished to remain anonymous. “It turned into a nightmare.”

The woman said she was left with a leaking roof for several weeks. The company refused to finish the work after she filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Less than a week later following our investigation, the company decided to fix the work that wasn’t completed.

“I had torn up siding, a gap in my roof, holes in my roof,” the woman said as she stared at her home.

KRDO contacted the company who decided it was the right thing to do to finish the work.

“You know, it was the right thing to do to get it all taken care of,” said Whitney Smith, of Seaback Roofing and Restoration.

Our team visited the property on Tuesday to see the work fixed and completed.

“Regardless … we are going to make it right,” said Ruben Hernandez.
