Tonight: The severe thunderstorm threat for Colorado Springs is over for the evening. Heavy rainfall associated with this afternoons storm prompted the National Weather Service to issue a Flood Advisory for Fountain Creek till 8:45pm. Be cautious of flooding to low lying areas. Still a few showers in the area that will taper off overnight.

Monday: Starting off the day with some sunshine with increasing clouds by late morning. It’ll be another day of afternoon showers and thunderstorms across the I-25 corridor and HWY 50. Temperatures will make it into the low 70’s for Colorado Springs.

Extended: The chances for afternoon thunderstorms will persist into Tuesday with a gradual clearing trend starting Wednesday, although Wednesday a few isolated showers are possible. Temperatures back to the 80’s by Thursday with mostly sunny skies.
