CDOT prepares for Renaissance Festival traffic

With the opening weekend of the Colorado Renaissance Festival on Saturday, June 15, CDOT is already preparing for heavy traffic on I-25.

To help with increased traffic on I-25 in the Larkspur area, CDOT is using the existing shoulder along I-25 southbound to create a lane between Sky View Ln and Spruce Mountain Rd.

The lane will provide additional room for cars exiting towards the Renaissance Festival. The lane will only be open for festival weekends, from Friday afternoon to Monday morning.

The Renaissance Festival will be open on the following dates in 2019:

June 15-16, 22-23, 29-30 July 6-7, 13-14, 20-21, 27-28 August 3-4

The festival will be open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. rain or shine.
