Pueblo couple finds man on roof, fires gun to stop suspect

A man was arrested early Thursday morning after he found on a roof of a Pueblo home.

Officers were called to the 1200 block of Pine Street. Upon arrival, a young couple reported that their dog started barking, and then they heard a loud noise.

The male resident went outside with a shotgun and found a man on the roof.

The suspect jumped down and tried to run, ignoring the resident’s commands to stop. To get the suspect to stop running, the resident fired a round into his own shed.

The unarmed suspect stopped and was then taken into custody for trespassing.

He was taken to jail, where investigators questioned him about another case.
