Military service member found dead in southern Arizona
A military service member was found dead near the US/Mexico border.
In a statement released to us by the U.S. Northern Command, it says a service member assigned to the border support mission was found dead Saturday, June 1 near Nogales, Arizona.
Foul play is not suspected and the incident is under investigation.
KRDO spoke with a spokesperson with USNORTHCOM who says they can’t release any other information on the service member until the family is notified of the death.
USNORTHCOM is stationed at Peterson Air Force Base. It is responsible for military support for the southwest border mission.
