05/20/19 Forecast Discussion

Tonight: Rain showers have already changed over to mostly snow for the Colorado Springs area. Snow accumulations will be the heaviest over Northern El Paso County and Teller County. Monument will see approx. 3-7″ along with Falcon, Peyton, Calhan, and Woodland Park. I have increased snow totals for Colorado Springs to 1-2″. Expect winter driving conditions to continue through the morning commute tomorrow. This system is producing heavy, wet snow. Broken tree branches are already being reported.

Tuesday: Snowfall will continue through the early morning hours then become more scattered in nature and change over to rain showers by late morning. Isolated afternoon thunderstorms along with light rain showers are expected through late afternoon.

Finally, we’ll see some sunshine and warmer temperatures by Wednesday.
