Oprah Winfrey to deliver commencement speech at Colorado College

Colorado College announced that it is bringing Oprah Winfrey to deliver this year’s commencement address.

Oprah will be in Colorado Springs to deliver the address at 8:30 a.m. on May 19.

Ticketed seating was limited to graduating seniors and their guests, and they were given out fast, the school says.

Winfrey has been nominated for Academy and Emmy awards, and has contributed hundreds of millions toward education programs and other charities.

Colorado College President Jill Tiefenthaler will also present an honorary degree to Winfrey, along with three other recipients: Jairo Valverde Bermudez, Martile Rowland, and France Winddance Twine.
