05/17/19 Forecast Discussion

Tonight: The gusty afternoon winds that were experienced in SE Colorado will dissipate during the overnight hours. Temperatures down into the low 40’s under partly cloudy skies. A weak cold front will pass through Colorado cooling us off and bringing increased afternoon rain chances for our weekend.

Saturday: Temperatures only reaching into the low 60’s for highs. Expect a few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms during the afternoon, with snow chances in the higher elevations. No significant accumulation is expected.

Extended: Increasing cloud coverage throughout the day Sunday. Can’t rule out a stray rain shower, but the majority of our day in El Paso County will be dry and in the 50’s. Monday the unsettled weather pattern continues. Thunderstorms likely Monday afternoon with a rain/snow mix possible in Monument by late Monday night.
